New Utility Service

To open up a new account with the Town of Blackstone you must visit our office to sign the new service
paperwork, provide all necessary documents, and pay the deposit and connection fees.

Required Documents:
* Form of ID
* Social Security Card
* Copy of signed lease

If you are unable to provide a social security card, we can accept a formal document that has your full
name and full social security number. (Example: W2) We also offer to run a soft credit check that verifies
your social security number matches your name. Choosing to do this will be an extra $3.00 charge.

The deposit amount depends on what services are provided at the address for which you are inquiring.
* Electric: $250.00
* Water: $125.00
* Electric and water: $300.00
Connection fees are $10.00 per service.

We require that all documents and full payment is received before an account can be opened.
We accept cash, check, and card payments.
Our business hours are Monday-Friday from 8AM to 5PM. We do ask if you are coming in to set up new
utilities and would like it to be connected into your name the same day that you come in by 3:30 to get
all the paperwork processed.

FAQ Town of Blackstone-Utilities

• When is my bill due? By the last business day of the month.


• How long before I accrue late fees? A 5% penalty is added on the next business day after the due date. A $12.50 late fee is added the 5th of each month.


• How long before I am disconnected? If not paid by the 15th of the following month, you are subject for disconnection and a $12.50 fee will apply. You have a total of 45 days to pay before disconnection.


• Can I pay on my bill before the due date? Yes. You may pay in increments up until the due date if you’d like. You do not have to wait until the due date to make a payment.


• Can I pay online? Yes. You may pay via card or Echeck.
