Blackstone Volunteer Fire Department
Founded in 1903, the Blackstone Volunteer Fire Department is a group of dedicated volunteers that proudly serve Blackstone and surrounding Nottoway County. The Blackstone Volunteer Fire Department, which is supported by a Junior Fire Department and a Ladies Auxiliary, handles fire-rescue, EMS, and Hazmat for its coverage area. Blackstone Police Department
The Town of Blackstone Police Department is comprised of twenty dedicated members who proudly serve the community of Blackstone and offer assistance to the Nottoway County Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police. The department strives to provide the most innovative community policing programs and supports the concept of the community and police working together as a team to prevent crime and to invest in the future of our youth. Our members believe that excellence and professionalism can be achieved through training and service.
